Jet Washing

P&A Jet Washing Services take huge pride in achieving superb results that will revive your exterior surfaces. We aim to remove as much dirt, grime, algae, stains, organic matter and Lichen (black spots) as possible when working at your property.

Why you should consider P&A Jet Washing Services

Perhaps your surfaces have been overlooked for a while and the weather has taken its toll or maybe you would just like to maintain that patio you've recently had laid. Whatever it is, we are more than happy to assist. We all know how costly exterior improvements can be so maintaining them will help keep them in the best possible condition adding years more life into them and making sure they don't become slippery, damaged, discoloured and ultimately having a shorter life than they could have had.

Exterior Surfaces we can clean

We are able to clean and rejuvenate many surfaces including block paving, driveways, paths, patios, walls, decking, concrete, car parks, fascia’s, guttering, outdoor furniture and more.
With patios in particular there are many types of slabs such as Indian sandstone, natural stone, porcelain, concrete etc. and some may require a more delicate approach. This is all taken into consideration before we start any work.

Our equipment

Our equipment consists of a high powered petrol Jet Wash with various attachments to aid in achieving the best results.
Boasting 3000psi (A Karcher has under half of that power) and pumping out a massive 21 litres per minute our machine cuts through even the most stubborn grime.
Using a flat surface cleaner helps us cover a larger surface area in a shorter time while also reducing mess from spray and risk of staining surrounding areas.
Our trusty turbo nozzle attachment helps us remove the tougher stains and blast away dirt from hard to reach areas so a combination of both this and the flat surface cleaner helps us achieve outstanding results.

Sealers and cleaning products

We use a high quality, high strength Sodium Hypochlorite solution which is a cleaning product specially designed for exterior cleaning. This is particularly good at helping to remove moss, lichen and algae and lifting dirt and stains.
Having your patio sealed is a great way to enhance and protect the surface whilst making it much easier to maintain. We use a high quality sealant which, depending on the amount of coats applied, can give a natural finish or a wet look finish.
We source these products from one of the best companies in the industry, Pureseal UK ltd (https://www.puresealservices.co.uk/). They supply many Jet Washing companies but most importantly they use the products themselves too. This gives us great trust in buying from them and the results show in our work.

How are the results achieved?

The process is in several stages.
Stage 1 - Arrive on site, pre wash inspection for damage or debris. Any debris is then cleared before washing starts.
Stage 2 - Main wash - A thorough wash including all edges.
Stage 3 - First rinse down - Removing all the debris bought up from the main wash.
Stage 4 - Apply cleaning products - This is necessary to meet the high standard of results we strive to achieve. This is left to dwell for anything from 20-60 minutes and possibly repeated if lichen is deeply ingrained.
Stage 5 - Second Rinse down - This removes the cleaning product and completes the cleaning process.
Stage 6 - Re-sand/sealing - If you have block paving then the re-sanding using Kiln Dried Sand is 24-48 hours after the wash as long as it has not rained in that duration. If you have opted for sealing this will usually need at least 72 hours of drying time so as not to trap any moisture under the sealant although this may get shorter soon as a new product is in development from my suppliers.
Stage 7 - Enjoyment - You can now enjoy your freshly cleaned exterior surfaces.

How we price a job

Every quote is unique due to the many different factors we consider including the size of the area, the time needed to complete the job, water flow rate, on site drainage, the amount of cleaning products needed, whether sand is required etc. Therefore we can not give a set price until we have visited the site so that we can take everything into consideration and give an accurate, personal and fair quote. As a rough guide we usually say an average 2 car block paved drive would cost in the region of £150-£200 completed which would include all washing, cleaning products used and a re-sand. Invoices and receipts are available upon request.
